Mr. Michael has been singing at Jewish camps, preschools, concerts & holiday events for over 15 years! He leads interactive songs & stories about Shabbat, holidays & Jewish customs, while subtly infusing the experience with Jewish wisdom that speaks to all age levels. Parents & children come away feeling inspired and excited about expanding their family's Jewish practice.
Alternative Shabbat Prayer Services
(for adults and older children)
Michael and his wife Bonnie formed the band SunMoonPie, and together they lead a variety of alternative musical Shabbat services. Exploring various ways to reinterpret traditional prayers to meet a modern culture, they borrow the meditative chanting tradition from Yoga traditions & lead Hebrew kirtan chanting.
They also have created several tribute-band Shabbats, adapting Shabbat prayers to fit the melodies of bands such as the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, U2, Elvis, Beach Boys and more!
